Drip Swapper edits game files, and some antivirus programs treat any tool that does that as suspicious, whatever it is. That is a guess by the antivirus, not proof of anything bad.

Do not take our word for it. Upload the file you downloaded to virustotal.com and see what about seventy antivirus engines say about it. Only run a file you downloaded from this site. If one engine gives a false alarm, tell us on Discord which antivirus it was so it can be reported.

On VirusTotal, Galaxy Drip was flagged by one engine out of about seventy when we last checked: Webroot, as W32.Hacktool.Riskware. Every other engine said it was clean.

"Hacktool" and "Riskware" are generic labels. They mean the program is a tool that changes things on your PC and could be misused. They do not mean it contains a virus, steals anything or runs in the background. Galaxy Drip is a game-file swapper, so it matches that description by what it does, not by what it is. It does not sign in to Epic, does not send your data anywhere and does not close other programs for you.

We will report it to Webroot as a false positive and update this answer when they reply. Until then, you can check it yourself on virustotal.com. If you do not want to run a file that one engine flags, use Drip Swapper instead. Its scans have come back clean, and it swaps the same way.

The source code for Galaxy Drip is public (GPL-3.0) and is based on Galaxy Swapper v2, so anyone can read exactly what it does.

Rocket League: use it offline only (freeplay, replays, exhibition). Fortnite: it changes what you see in your lobby and Locker, nobody else sees it, and it is not for matches. Fall Guys: it runs anti-cheat, so using swaps there can get your account banned.

Epic's rules do not allow changing game files, so there is always some risk to the account. Nothing in Drip Swapper hides changed files from an anti-cheat, and it never will. Use it at your own risk.

Online matches check your game files, and modified files get you removed from the match. That is why swaps are for the lobby and Locker only. Press Undo all swaps before you queue a match. Swaps are also put back by themselves when Fortnite closes.

1. Close the game and the Epic Games Launcher, then swap again.
2. The item has to be downloaded on your PC. In Fortnite, turn on Epic Quality Assets: in the Epic launcher open Library, press the three dots next to Fortnite, then Options.
3. Press Fix problems on the home page. It re-reads your game files and checks which swaps are still in place.
4. Still stuck? Ask on Discord and say the item you picked.

Something is still holding the file. Close Fortnite and the Epic launcher completely (check the tray near the clock), wait about 30 seconds and try again. An antivirus scan or Windows Search can also hold a file for a moment. The app waits up to 15 seconds by itself before it gives up.

A game update, or Verify files in the launcher, puts the original files back. That is normal. Swap again afterwards. If a new season just came out, the lists can need a new version of Drip Swapper, so check the download page and the Discord.

Press Undo all swaps in the app. Each file is backed up before it is changed, so the originals come back exactly as they were. Drip Swapper also keeps a copy of each original table of contents in a Backup Paks folder (in your AppData, Drip Swapper folder) as a manual safety net. As a last resort, use Verify in the Epic Games Launcher.

They swap the same way. Drip Swapper covers Rocket League, Fortnite and Fall Guys and has the extras (loadouts, fun emotes, build looks, a backups folder). Galaxy Drip is Fortnite only and looks like Galaxy Swapper v2. It is an unofficial fork of Galaxy Swapper v2 (GPL-3.0) and is not made or endorsed by the Galaxy Swapper team.
